Saturday 7th June:
Kirby Muxloe Bowls Club were welcomed to Welby Road, and went away with a resounding victory. The match was played over 4 rinks, and KMBC won all of them. The final shots score for the match was HSBC 52 - KMBC 69. There was one period of suspended play due to rain, but overall we managed to escape most of the rain showers. Having no winning rink, there was no Top Rink award presented.

Saturday 24th May:
Our first Saturday Friendly away match of the season was played at Brookfield Electric Bowls Club (Leicester). With a good turn out of players, the match was played over 5 rinks games. The Club were well beaten on the day with one game won, one drawn, but three games were lost. The final match shots score was HSBC - 68 BEBC - 86. The Top Rink award was won by Sue Lemon's rink with a score of 19-14.

Saturday 3rd May:
Playing Birstall Bowls Club over 4 rinks games, HSBC narrowly lost by 62 shots to 65. BBC won on 2 rinks, HSBC on 1 and the other game was drawn. The Top Rink, rink 5, was Anne Spaulding, Mark Cregan, Viv James and Eric Faulconbridge winning by 20 - 13.
Other rink scores: James Cregan, Claire Cregan, Geoff Rudkin and Bob Penny 15-15; Bettine Broadberry, Angelo Grillo, Byron James and Peter Orridge 15-18; Ken Tween, Pat Francis, Mike Jones and Fred Thorpe 12-19.
There is no game next Saturday, but a Sunday match will be played away at Attenborough Bowls Club.

Saturday 26th April:
Our Saturday friendly was played against Syston Bowls Club, with 4 rinks of triples. Unfortunately we slipped to defeat with the final score of HSBC 54, SBC 63. SBC won 2 rinks to HSBC 1 with one rink drawn.The Top Rink, and only rink won by HSBC, was rink 5, with Bettine Broadberry, Glen Roberton and Peter Orridge winning by 18 -16. Other scores were: Lara Higgins, Eddie Pearson and Eric Faulconbridge 13 - 13; James Cregan, Mike Jones and Fred Thorpe 15 - 16; Harold Cramp, Claire Cregan and Dennis Hopkinson 8 - 18. We now look forward to winning ways when hosting Birstall BC next week.

Saturday 19th April:
On a chilly (for all except Pat F) and cloudy afternoon a 6 rink match was played against Soar Valley BC. The rinks were made up of 5 triples, played over 18 ends, and 1 rinks game. Although the green looked a little unwell, it was agreed that it played well for the time of year. The final score for the match was HSBC 85, Soar Valley BC 80. HSBC won 3 rinks to SVBC 2 with 1 rink drawn. The Top Rink, rink 3, was Eddie Pearson, Evelyn Underwood and Bob Penny winning by 21 - 10.
