Green Opening 2026

On a sunny, but blustery and cool April afternoon, our green was opened for the new season. In his welcome to Club members President Fred Thorpe thanked the Green and Ground staff for having the green and surrounds in such a good condition for the start of the season. President Fred then had the honour of bowling the first wood in front of a good gathering of Club members. A Chummy game was played over 12 ends, and this was followed by refreshments and the draw was made for the playing partners in the Club Pairs Competitions.
