The Alec Whittaker Trophy was played for on Saturday, 30th May on a hot and sunny afternoon Unfortunately only 14 members took part in the competition due to holidays and illness. The single rinks and triples games  were played over 15 ends. The players and other attending members enjoyed refreshments of cakes and biscuits taken after 10 ends of the games and these were enjoyed by everyone. With a differential shots score of +12, the winning rink was skipped by Dennis Hopkinson. The runners up, playing triples, although tied on shots but having won more ends, was skipped by Evelyn Underwood. Anne Whittaker thanked everyone for attending the event and making it another special day for her.
