About Us

You will find a warm welcome at the club which consists of a well maintained six rink lawn bowling green, a spacious clubhouse with a comfortable dining area, bar, kitchen, lady, and gents changing rooms and toilets.

There are several Social Events and Informal Club Days. The club hosts a full range of games, both friendly and competitive, plus Club, County and National competitions.

A regular feature of each season is a Presidential Tour, which in 2024 will be to the Suffolk and Essex with afternoon games arranged, along with excursions for non-players. If you are interested print off the invitation, complete and send to President Bob.

We all work to care for the club on a voluntary basis.

Our Green keeping Team meets three times a week during the season (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday) They carry out green keeping and do all our general maintenance and gardening whilst enjoying the odd coffee and cake. During the winter, this work continues on Monday morning and Wednesday. Not every week but when needed.

We have a Tea Rota to cover the teas provided at friendly games on a Saturday, Sunday, or Thursday. The meeting to arrange this for the 2024 Season will be held on Saturday 16th of March at our clubhouse.  2pm start

Volunteers undertake the cleaning of our club house. We have two big clean days before the start of the season.  Everyone is welcome to get involved.  We then clean every Monday morning; a Rota is in place to ensure cover.

If you are interested in getting involved and are about to join the club note the appropriate box on your membership form.
