President Sue Moore 2025

Saturday 16th August:
President Sue had chosen a Hawaiian theme for her day, and although the afternoon was dull and cloudy, the bright and colourful costumes worn by players and spectators certainly added a sparkle to the proceedings. The clubroom was also beautifully decked out with Hawaiian type decorations; this being done by President Sue with the help of her daughters Sarah and Claire. The bowling comprised of 4 triples rinks, played over 15 ends, with each team having their own Hawaiian themed name. The President's team consisted of the Kooky Coconuts, the Sizzling Sunsets, the Coral Reef Rascals & the Swaying Palms, whilst VP Fred's team consisted of the Twisted Pineapples, the Wave Wobblers, the Banana Boat Bunch & the Starlit Surfers. The winning team were the Kooky Coconuts skipped by Byron James and having President Sue as Lead. The Best Dressed lady attending was won by Margaret Thorpe, and the Best Dressed gentleman was Eric Faulconbridge; these being judged by Sarah and Claire. A Bring&Share tea was enjoyed by everyone, and the President's cake, being decorated beautifully by Sue herself, was also delicious. President Sue thanked everyone for making it a special day for her, with special thanks to Sarah and Claire for their help. Arthur Broadberry thanked President Sue, and everyone that helped to make it a memorable day.
